"Whispering Oaks was the perfect stay while we visited Greenville. Large campsite with full hookups. And plenty of peace and quiet. We will stay there again next time we visit."

“The resort is beautiful, quiet and well maintained. We absolutely loved our stay here! They are pet friendly which we loved since we travel with our pup, he had a few chances to play with the owners dog Jessie who would come and say hi throughout the day. She’s super sweet and so well mannered. The views are pretty especially around the pond they have on site. We will definitely be keeping Whispering Oaks in mind on our next visit to NC!”

“Very pretty campground. Owners friendly - loved visits from Jessie! Close to ECU, mature trees for shade. Would definitely stay again.”

“First time RV owner and green as a gourd. they took time out of their busy schedule and showed me a couple of things. Their willingness to help a total stranger was refreshing to experience. The Park was was VERY well maintained as well. They had several different views. woody; lake; green grass all perfect for relaxing. public golf course is a short drive away. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Wish I could more than 5 stars”

“This campground is well kept, beautiful and quiet. Exactly what i needed the weekend I stayed. John and Kelly are amazing people who made me feel like an old friend or family member from the first interaction. It had been a long day when I arrived at Whispering Oaks and John helped me get set up. He also went to his house and got me some coffee for in the morning so I would not have to go back out after getting set up. Just down to earth, warm and friendly folks. It has taken me awhile to write this review because i was hoping to keep this place a secret to myself but finally came to my senses and realized that was not fair. Everyone needs to meet people like John and Kelly so that we all can spread kindness.”

“A beautiful and very well-maintained RV resort with 50 amps and full hookups. The owner operators are very gracious and accommodating and make you feel like right at home. It’s five stars in our book!

“We travel for work and stayed at Whispering Oaks RV for thirteen weeks. There were several work travelers in this park but you could never tell. The grounds are very well kept. We saw Blue Heron at the pond everyday we were there. The only negative I have is the road material on the RV pad is horrible about tracking into the RV. The spaces are huge and they are very easy to manuver in and out of. Jessie, the parks doggy mascot, is so friendly. I loved having a dog to pet since we don't travel with ours. Kelly and John, the owners, are the nicest people. We felt as if we were at a family members yard instead of an RV park. Bottom line, stay here!”

“Once we were set up, we didn't encounter any other problems. The park was well maintained. It has an atmosphere of deep southern comfort and hospitality. The owners are friendly and attentive to your needs. I will recommend this park to friends and fellow RVers.”

“This park was a hidden gem, especially for staying while visiting kids at ECU. We arrived around 9:30 @ night, and called them before hand. The owner met us outside, showed me to the site and even offered to assist setting up. When we were setting up, he drove my TOAD around to our site, so I didn't have to walk to get it. I admit, as some reviews stated there are no amenities, but I knew this coming in. Awesome water pressure, and great shaded sites. Our site was pretty level and was a sand/gravel/grass area. Picnic table was onsite. They had 20/30/50 Amp hook-ups. Since I was only there for 5 days, mainly visiting ECU I didn't go fishing. Everyone in the parks were friendly and it was very quiet at night. Easy access to Highway 264, and only 10 minutes to ECU campus. We will be camping here again!”

“Spent three weeks here, visiting family who are ECU faculty. This park has excellent water, sewer, and electric hookups; no other facilities. Price seems a bit steep, but since it's about the only place available in Greenville, we were happy to pay it. The weekly and monthly rates are discounted from the daily rate quoted above. The park owners made every effort to accommodate us. Even though we were first told that there was no space available for our first weekend, they offered to provide a parking space with electric and water; we would have to have used the dump station. We agreed to take that. Then they had a last-minute cancellation, so we got a full hookup site by the lake. This is a beautiful area, and very quiet. Will definitely try to get a space here on our next visit to Greenville.”

“This is a small campground near Greenville, NC. We stay here when visiting our son at East Carolina University. This was our 4th trip staying at the campground. It is on the same property as Bradford Creek Coach and RV Center. There are probably about ten sites total. Most are around a stocked pond. Most are also under large oak trees - well kept so no issues with the height of the RV. The staff was very friendly, showed us to our site and made sure we were all setup on each trip. Some campers appeared to be long term and some weekend or similar visitors. Campground was fairly quiet with little activity, but those campers we saw outside were friendly. It is a perfect location and a great place for a weekend visit or getaway. It is not the place to go to for things to do at the campground other than fishing.”

“I took the advise of the previous reviewer and was glad I did. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. He explained that eventually there will be 8 sites all facing a lake that he is currently digging. The location is off the beaten track but easy to get to on US 264 from either Greenville or Washington. We were situated so that our satellite worked well and there were several local TV stations that came in.”

“This is a nice quiet campground that only has about 14 sites. I don't believe there are any facilities available, although I never looked for them. Some sites are on the pond but out in the sun. We had a nice shady site with plenty of space. The only reason I gave it a 7 is because our patio faced our neighbors patio. This is great if you're traveling with someone who else and you want to have "group" camping; otherwise you might compete with radios, conversations, etc. overall, I would highly recommend.”

“We're staying here again this year for all ECU home games. Love this place. So convenient to stadium and all of Greenville. Always have friendly fellow campers and the owners are wonderful. Small campground. Beautiful place with fishing pond & open areas and nice trees. No amenities but truly peaceful.”

“This is a beautiful piece of property, with full hookups and giants oaks for shade (on some sites). If you're looking for the bell & whistles, look elsewhere. This property offers great location (just outside of the busy part of Greenville), great service (owners are on property), good value (water pressure was great). We stayed for 5 days while visiting our daughter at ECU. Perfect location to scoot back and forth between her apartment and the motorhome. Great having electric because it's hot in NC (we're from New England)! Owners came by a couple of times to check on us. Other campers were friendly. We had a campfire one night with wood supplied by a fellow camper. One road around the whole campground/property, easy to navigate. I did read a previous review and we had quite the opposite experience (friendly owner, and no problem with roaches...though there were some crickets around). Very happy with the place and we'll be back! We camped at Whispering Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.”

“We stayed here for an ECU football game. We arrived at around 9:30pm and were met by the owner on his golf cart. He showed us to the campsite and helped us get organized. He came by again later to make sure we were all set up and happy. I spoke to him again on Saturday and mentioned there was a slight washout from recent rains. He said he would come in after we left and smooth it out. I wasn't complaining but he was very concerned with how happy we were. I'm making additional reservations.”

“Stayed here for Pirate ball games - SO CONVENIENT! Once you get to campground (10-15 min.s from stadium) you feel like you're out in the country! And it's actually a bit cooler at Whispering Oaks! Not many sites but a beautiful place w/a pond and wonderful trees and lots of open space also - the dogs love it! As our dog walker said "this is the most peaceful place in Greenville." There is a toilet in their "barn" but for the most part you need to be self-contained - great sewer hookups. The owners are fantastic & want to make you happy. We love staying here. We had a nice shaded lot under oak treas on a pond. Large gravel lots, with gravel interior roads- surrounded by grass. Has no bath house-you must be self contained. No WiFi or cable. Close to all shopping and amenities. We stayed in a motor home for a month. Will stay here again.”

“Stayed here for a week while visiting with family in the area. While it is not a fancy place with any amenities, it is very shaded and a perfect spot for anyplace that you would need to go to in Greenville. We have found that the 2 most important places to have close by is Lowe's and Walmart and both are very close to here! There is no cable TV or wifi but does have 50amp full hookups. Rates are reasonable with a discount being given for stays of 7 or more nights. Picnic table on site. Sites are sand/gravel. Lots of grassy areas to walk the dog.”

“Stayed here while visiting our daughter at ECU. Peaceful campground, great hosts, great views of the lake and the stars at night. Far enough away from the "city" but close enough to go to a game or just pop into town. No problem with Satellite as we had clear line of sight to the southwest sky. We will be back again and again!! Thanks Whispering Oaks for a relaxing weekend with our Daughter.”

“Great place to stay for us as we have family in the area. Pleasant stay out in the country. Owners do all they can to make your stay pleasant. We could not receive satellite due to trees but other than that, it was good. We would definitely stay again in the future.”

“The owner of this place is about the nicest guy you could meet, and that's why he got a 7. Really this place is in transition - he's got some work going on, and some expansion of the pond and that will help make this place a little nicer. Just a basic spot to put your rig while you visit your kids at ECU. (which is about 10 minutes away). Not very level lots, but tons of water pressure and 50 amp service. The lake is LOADED with turtles and I managed to catch a little brim (no bass or catfish - but I was told they are in there). Again, this is just a basic spot, but with the big old trees, the small man-made lake, the location close to ECU and just a really, really nice guy running it, it's worth a good rating.”

“Just wanted to drop you a note and thank you again for helping us purchase our first coach. We are just so thrilled with it, and feel we made a really good choice both in it, and in your DeiselPushers.US service. You made the buying process so simple, and always answered our questions in an accurate and timely manner. The extra time you gave to help teach us and get us on the road was invaluable and very much appreciated! We’ll certainly check with you first in a few years when we’re ready to trade again. Please feel free to quote me and again, many thanks!”

" Excellent campground with a beautifully shaded site convenient to Greenville, NC and ECU campus."
